Dear Devotees,
I extend my warmest wishes for a very happy and prosperous New Year 2025 to you and your families.
For over 30 years, the Hindu Temple of Atlanta (HTA) has served as a cornerstone of the Hindu community, dedicated to upholding and practicing the core values of our faith through worship and education. By the grace of Lord Venkateshwara and Parvatha Vardhini Sametha Ramalingeswara Swami, along with the blessings of our priests and the trust placed in me by my fellow trustees, I have the honor of serving as President for the year 2025-2026, alongside the newly elected executive committee members.
Looking ahead, our vision for the upcoming term is to continue fulfilling the spiritual needs of our community, preserve our rich cultural heritage, foster a sense of shared responsibility, and create a nurturing, family-like atmosphere for all.
Our immediate priority for the year is to strengthen the security of the temple to ensure the safety of our priests and devotees. We are in the planning stages and will be implementing enhanced security measures as soon as possible.
We are also in the process of completing the repairs to the Siva temple gopurams in preparation for the Siva Kumbabhishekam scheduled for May 2025. Additionally, we have plans to enhance the temple's infrastructure to better serve our community. This includes constructing a multi-purpose building that will accommodate various events, such as performing shraddha karmas, renovating the kitchen facilities and Nandi Mandapam..
Community engagement is critical to the long-term sustainability of HTA. We are committed to expanding our outreach programs and encouraging cultural activities at the temple. We will continue offering need-based scholarships to support high school and college students. I encourage all of you to take full advantage of the services and programs available at the temple, including HTA Chinmaya Balavihar for children, weekend Yoga every Sunday, and the cultural lessons offered by our local gurus.
I also invite you to participate in upcoming festivals such as Sankranthi, Shiva Rathri, Shiva Kumbabhishekam, Rama Navami, and other temple events. Your support, participation, and contributions are vital to the continued prosperity of HTA and the strengthening of our community bonds. Please donate generously, volunteer your time, and engage in the many activities and events at our temple.
I look forward to a successful and fulfilling year ahead, with the support of the executive committee, esteemed trustees, and all of our devotees.
Loka Samastha Sukhino Bhavanthu
With warm regards
Ravi Kari
